Barack Obama nomme Hillary Clinton Secrétaire d’Etat des U.S.A.
C'est fait ! Hillary Clinton est officiellement nommée Secrétaire d'Etat des Etats-Unis d'Amérique, en charge, à ce titre, de la politique étrangère américaine. Obama a présenté aujourd'hui l'équipe de "sécurité nationale", qui comprend, outre Clinton, Robert Gates, l'actuel ministre de la Défense, républicain. Au discours de l'affirmation de la puissance militaire américaine (hard power) des premières années de George W. Bush et de l'agitation de la menace terroriste, Obama semble préférer l'exaltation du soft power américain : valeurs, culture et économie de marché.
